| The Earth, Water, Air & Soil Foundation invites you to join us in celebrating Earth Day on Saturday, April 19, 2008 in Discovery Park. The California Earth Day Run & Walk will be a great event for runners, walkers and kids. It should be a green Spring in Discovery Park, where the American River meets the Sacramento River. Help us raise money for environmental education, conservation, and restoration efforts in the Greater Sacramento area. Please also consider bringing a lunch and helping with the river clean-up. |

| Awards and Raffle Prizes 5k/10k awards will be presented to the overall male and female winner and top three in each age category. Age Group Divisions: 13-15,16-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49,50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, 80+. Ribbons to all finishers in the kids' fun runs. Kid's runs will not be scored or timed. We will have lots of Raffle Prizes for all participants from local businesses following the award ceremony. Fluid Stations Snacks and Fluid Stations at the Start/Finish Area and the turnaround for the 5k and 10k. T-Shirt & Goody Bags T-shirts and goody bags will be provided to 5k/10 k participants. Kids will receive only T-shirts. Packet pick-up & registration will be available from 10-7, on Friday, April 18, 2008 at Fleet Feet Sacramento (2311 J Street, Sacramento, CA 95816). Race Rules For the safety of all participants we can allow baby joggers and strollers, but at the back of the 5 k/10k walk. Please no headphones, iPods, or Walkman radios,no dogs in the race or the start/finish area. | Directions Discovery Park is located beside I-5 in downtown Sacramento. From I-5 take the Richards Blvd. off- ramp then go west to Jiboom Street. Enter Discovery Park & go over the Jiboom Street Bridge. We will be located in the Picnic Area. Signs denote the park’s location from I-5. The County of Sacramento charges $5.00 for parking which supports county parks and the American River Trail. Click HERE for map |
